ABOUT:

“The Fayetteville Film Fest is thrilled to once again be a part of the Walton Arts Center’s Mosaix programming, bringing global cinema to a local audience that not only enriches our understanding of the world beyond northwest Arkansas but also reflects the rich cultural diversity that makes our region so endlessly fascinating,” said Russell Sharman, executive director of the  Fayetteville Film Fest. “Mosaix is a beautiful way to extend our own ongoing commitment to build an inclusive community through the power of cinema."

Six jurors reviewed 25 submissions from around the world and selected seven titles for inclusion in Indie Films of South Asia. This showcase appears as a part of Walton Arts Center’s Mosaix programming that seeks to highlight art from the various cultural tiles that make Northwest Arkansas unique and diverse.

The films will be screened in two blocks with a 15-minute intermission. The first block focuses on the immigrant experience, and the second block explores the themes of loss and grief. Please note that all films include adult content that will not be appropriate for younger viewers. All films will be screened in their original language with subtitles.
