Aquila Theatre Offers Fresh Take on Austen’s Classic Pride & Prejudice
NORTHWEST ARKANSAS, Oct. 17, 2022 – It is a truth universally acknowledged that every theatre must be in want of a classic English play; Walton Arts Center will want no more when Aquila Theatre’s Pride & Prejudice takes the stage at 7 pm on Thursday, Oct. 27.
Aquila Theatre breathes new life into the beloved 18th century English novel, with a world-class diverse cast and innovative adaptations. Six actors will fill more than 15 roles as they explore the trials and tribulations of romance and the absurdities of the English class system. The Bennet sisters have delighted audiences for decades, and Aquila Theatre’s performance is sure to be a new favorite adaptation.
Aquila Theatre is one of the foremost producers of classical theater in the United States. Along with their annual national tour, they are known for their extensive educational offerings and work to diversify and expand access to art. Multiple offers have been extended to Aquila Theatre to perform at the White House, U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Capitol and the National Council on the Arts.
