Experience Professional Ballet As Never Before

NORTHWEST ARKANSAS, February 19, 2020 – Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo is bringing its playful, entertaining view of classical ballet in parody form to Walton Arts Center for one night only at 7 pm on Thursday, Feb. 27 as part of the Coca-Cola Night Out Series.

Tickets are on sale now and range from $15 to $36. Purchase tickets in-person at the Walton Arts Center Box Office, by calling 479.443.5600 or by visiting waltonartscenter.org.

Founded in 1974 by a group of ballet enthusiasts, the Trocks are a company of critically acclaimed professional male dancers. The company performs the full range of ballet and modern dance repertoire, but they also incorporate and exaggerate the foibles, accidents and underlying incongruities of serious dance.

The fact that men dance all the parts – heavy bodies delicately balancing on toes as swans, romantic princesses or angst-ridden Victorian ladies – enhances, rather than mocks, the spirit of dance as an art form. The Trocks’ impeccable comic approach and knowledge of dance result in a fun and funny show for fans of physical comedy or dance.

After recent appearances on “ABC News” and for the Prince of Wales on the “Royal Variety Show,” the dancers of Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo have become more well-known than ever. For the future, there are plans for new works in the repertoire; new cities, states and countries to perform in and for the continuation of the Trocks’ original purpose of bringing the pleasure of dance to the widest possible audience.
