Robert Earl Keen Will Host a Stellar Holiday Night Out at Walton Arts Center

NORTHWEST ARKANSAS, December 4, 2019 – For the past seven years, Robert Earl Keen has been forging a new holiday tradition with a run of irreverently themed Christmas shows. This year’s show promises intergalactic fun and festivities when the Countdown to Christmas: Lunar Tunes and Looney Times Tour lands at Walton Arts Center on Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 7 pm.

Tickets range from $27 to $57 plus applicable fees. Patrons can also purchase reserved parking in the Spring Street deck for $7. Purchase tickets and parking in-person at the Walton Arts Center, by calling 479.443.5600 or by visiting waltonartscenter.org.

After three decades, with well over a dozen records to his name and thousands of shows under his belt, there’s no denying that “the road goes on forever” for Robert Earl Keen. Here for a festive, larger-than-life and sometimes down-right naughty concert full of holly-jolly costumes and plenty of joyful tunes, Keen and his band will perform fan favorites from his much-loved Christmas album, including the song that many adoring fans know better than some holiday classics, “Merry Christmas from the Family.”

This year’s theme is in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. Keen and his band will pay homage to the space race and all things celestial in an out-of-this-world evening of family holiday fun.

Shinyribs, based out of Austin and led by Kevin Russell, will open the show. Named the Best Austin Band in 2017, the eight-piece group is known for their high-energy performances and eclectic blend of music.
