Walton Arts Center has postponed Broadway shows and performances with audiences of more than 200 until January 2021. If you have questions you can contact our box office Monday-Friday 10 am-4 pm at 479.443.5600.
We have also launched the Ghost Light Recovery Fund to cover the revenue shortfall created by the loss of programming. You can play a part in Walton Arts Center’s second act by donating today at waltonartscenter.org/ghostlight.
The ghost light is part of a long-held theatrical tradition. When a theater is unoccupied, a single light—known as the ghost light—is left burning on stage to ensure the theater is never completely dark and to light the way for a safe return to the stage. This is an apt metaphor for our campaign. Contributions to the Ghost Light Recovery Fund light the way back to our stage and help us continue our mission to bring world-class performing arts experiences to Northwest Arkansas.
Thank you for your gift! Contributions to the Ghost Light Recovery Fund are not part of the Friends program. The support we receive through our Friends membership program allows us to promote the arts in our community through teaching artist programs, free and reduced cost performance tickets, and diverse programming. Because of the associated benefits, gifts to our Friends program are not fully tax deductible. Gifts to the Ghost Light Recovery Fund are 100% tax deductible and are intended to mitigate the financial impact of COVID-19 and help Walton Arts Center meet the challenges of an extended programming hiatus.
We want to hear from you! If you have questions about the Ghost Light Recovery Fund or how Walton Arts Center is responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, please contact us at email@example.com.
