College Ambassador Program
Do you love theater, musicals and live performances? Are you passionate about building your resume and getting involved on campus? Walton Arts Center’s newest College Ambassador Program is just the thing for you!
Each semester, a few students will be chosen through an application process to become brand ambassadors for Walton Arts Center. These students will receive free tickets for select shows during the semester in exchange for promoting Walton Arts Center and the performances they attend on campus and through social media.
Ambassador Requirements:
- Hang up flyers every two weeks around campus
- Assist with tabling at events on campus or in the community when needed
- Reach out to two clubs and/or RSO’s on campus about student discount tickets
- If in Greek Life: make an announcement to the chapter about student discount tickets and the student outreach program
- Schedule and give at least one talk per semester to a student group/RSO/Greek Life about ticket deals, upcoming shows, etc.
- Collect contact information from students who are interested in hearing about student deals offered
- Like and comment on at least one WAC post per week
- Make one post announcing that they are a Walton Arts Center ambassador for the semester (not MANDATORY but ENCOURAGED)
- All requirements will be tracked on a monthly basis
To be an effective ambassador you should:
- Have free time in your schedule to participate in on-campus initiatives
- Have good connections to other student organizations on campus
- Be able to meet monthly to touch base about responsibilities & requirements
- Be a good communicator
- Be responsible, organized and consistent
- Be a fan of theater and the performing arts

Here are some of the series that our ambassadors will have the opportunity to attend and promote:
Starrlight Jazz Club: Starrlight Jazz Club features impressive and dynamic jazz acts hand-picked by Walton Arts Center’s jazz curator and host of KUAF’s Shades of Jazz, Robert Ginsburg. These performances are immersive and imaginative and get you up close to some of the hottest musicians on the scene today. You won’t want to miss this series performed in the intimate ambiance it deserves, in Starr Theater with cabaret and tiered seating.
West Street Live: Inspired by hometown heroes and historic musicians, performances by the highly awarded singer-songwriters of West Street Live are a lyric lover’s dream. These intimate performances are in Starr Theater, set cabaret style with tiered seating and a limited number of tables to create the ultimate listening experience.
Coca-Cola Night Out Series: Consider the Coca-Cola Night Out Series your guide to a night of lively entertainment in the theater. Featuring everything from comedy to musicals to magic shows and live music, this collection of shows is fun, heartwarming and full of powerhouse acts that you don’t want to miss!
Land O’Lakes Concert Series: Baum Walker Hall provides the perfect stage for bigger bands and music acts that have a devoted, larger audience. This series includes a variety of genres and boasts a great listening experience.
10x10 Arts Series: These performances are presented as part of the 10x10 Art Series, an intriguing and innovative showcase of art forms, meticulously curated to satisfy the artistic curiosity of the Northwest Arkansas community. This collection of 10 shows invites everyone to venture into uncharted artistic territories, to explore and try something new! The best part? All tickets are only $10!
Family Fun Series: Guaranteed to have you laughing and dancing right along with the performers, your whole family can enjoy immersive and interactive performances in our series for kids and kids at heart. These shows are a great way to introduce young audiences to the theater, and they are so entertaining, you will love them too!
LOL@WAC Series: Big stage; even BIGGER laughs! The funniest shows and biggest names in comedy hit the stage in Baum Walker Hall for performances and stand-up sets that are sure to leave you laughing out loud – literally!
The Comedy Zone: When some of the best names in comedy take the microphone in Starr Theater, you can expect lots of laughs and a night to remember in a setting that rivals big-city comedy clubs. You’ll see some of the hottest comedians in the country who have been featured on Comedy Central, HBO Comedy, Netflix, Hulu, CMT, BET, Just for Laughs, Dry Bar, Sirius XM and more!
