Job Summary

Provides reception and office services support to Walton Arts Center Administrative Offices.

Essential Job Requirements

  • Strong customer service skills
  • Polite and professional demeanor when interacting with employees and patrons
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain strict confidences
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills are preferred
  • Ability to utilize provided information to find answers, make decisions and work independently
  • Ability to print, scan and make copies using a Xerox (printed instructions provided)
  • Experience in use of multi-line phone

Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Outlook is preferred.
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Check Walton Arts Center email at the beginning of each shift
  • Greet and address questions from visitors and patrons
  • Answer Reception phone line and transfer phone calls accurately
  • Accept packages and notify recipients via email of package deliveries
  • Sort and distribute mail to appropriate staff mailboxes
  • Create personnel files for new hire paperwork with label maker
  • Maintain Walton Arts Center literature rack in admin reception area
  • Inventory, tidy and organize supply room and breakroom
  • Assist with distributing paychecks
  • Shredding of confidential paperwork
  • Use the radio to contact facilities department when necessary
  • Assist other departments with tasks and projects as needed
  • Put away all supplies and tidy front desk at the end of each shift
