Thirty Seconds to Mars Added to Walmart AMP Cox Concert Series

NORTHWEST ARKANSAS, February 7, 2018 – The Walmart AMP is excited to announce another addition to the 2018 Cox Concert Series. Multi-Platinum selling band Thirty Seconds to Mars is bringing The Monolith Tour with special guests Walk the Moon, K. Flay and Welshly Arms to the Walmart AMP on Sunday, July 8, 2018. Doors open at 5 pm and the show starts at 6 pm.

Jared Leto announced the tour on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” Their highly anticipated fifth studio album will be available April 6.

Formed in 1998, Thirty Seconds to Mars consists of frontman Jared Leto, his older brother, Shannon, and Tomo Milicevic. The band’s self-titled debut album in 2002 remains a cult favorite. Their Platinum-selling second album, A Beautiful Lie, in 2005 earned them worldwide success. This is War, their third album, was certified Gold in seven countries and Platinum in four countries. Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams was released in May 2013 to critical and commercial success. The band released their latest single, “Walk on Water,” in August 2017.

Walk the Moon consists of Nicholas Petricca, Kevin Ray, Eli Maiman and Sean Waugaman. In 2015, the band catapulted to stardom when their hit single “Shut Up and Dance”, which is included on their RIAA Certified Gold album Talking is Hard, became a multi-Platinum global smash that also peaked at the top of the Alternative, Hot AC, AC charts, #4 on the Billboard Hot 100, and went to #2 at Top 40 radio. The track also broke the record for consecutive weeks at #1 on Billboard’s Hot Rock Songs chart at the time. The band’s latest single “One Foot” off their recent album What If Nothing has quickly made its way up the charts with more than 44 million streams across all partners to date and it is nearing the Top 20 at Top 40 Radio.

The Walmart AMP (Arkansas Music Pavilion), a Walton Arts Center venue since February 2011, is Arkansas’ premier outdoor concert venue. The AMP has presented headlining concerts for the past 12 years, including rock, country and pop. In its permanent home in Pinnacle Hills at 5079 W. Northgate Rd., Rogers, Ark., the Walmart AMP has the largest outdoor stage house in Arkansas.
