A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, Sean Mason is celebrated for both his original compositions and masterful interpretations that meld the intricacies of jazz with diverse musical elements. He has performed or recorded with jazz legends including Wynton Marsalis, Branford Marsalis, Christian McBride and Dave Liebman and has worked on Hadestown and Phantom of the Opera for Broadway. He established the formidable Sean Mason Quartet, writing original compositions and mastering traditional jazz selections spanning from the 1920s to the present, offering a fresh and compelling perspective on the genre.
