ABOUT THE EXHIBITION:
Our Art, Our Region, Our Time launches Walton Arts Center’s 30th anniversary season with our first-ever regional visual arts exhibition showcasing creative talents from within Northwest Arkansas. Works by 64 artists representing 16 cities across the region are featured.
This is an exciting and diverse show in both the artists and the art forms featured. All of the pieces were completed in 2020 and 2021, which was a challenging yet amazing time to work as an artist. Our Art, Our Region, Our Time allows you to see and appreciate how these artists used that time to focus their energies to create beautiful compelling art.
Chosen from 135 artist submissions, this exhibition includes 73 pieces by 64 artists representing not only the diverse places across the region, but also diverse communities that compose the very fabric of Northwest Arkansas. Bringing together these diverse and unique visual stories to reveal the essential voice of the show has been a creative highlight. You are invited to come experience this show and this community of artists, and experience their works from this challenging time of COVID-19.
Below you will find a complete list of the artists with links taking you to each of their artist's pages where you can see their work, and read their bio and artist statement.
