Masterclass with Compagnie Hervé Koubi
Compagnie Hervé Koubi Managing Director, Guillaume Gabriel, will lead a 2-hour Contemporary Dance Masterclass in Starr Theater two days after their 10x10 performance. The class will start with a body warm-up and leads to an approach of the composition process developed in the show. What the Day Owes to the Night combines capoeira, martial arts as well as urban and contemporary dance. Gabriel graduated from the High Business School of Marseilles, France, where he was supposed to be a banker. He started his studies in dance much later, when he was 23 at the International School of Dance in Cannes with Rosella Hightower. He worked with several choreographers before becoming Hervé Koubi's assistant in 2000. He is responsible for all educational activities in France and abroad.
