WACappella

This is your chance to live out your Pitch Perfect dreams and sing on the big stage during the VoiceJam Competition at Walton Arts Center! We are looking for six6 local singers to join the VoiceJam vocal band, WACappella. Adults, (18 and up) may submit their audition application February 3-23, 2025. 

Audition Information

Submit your audition application with video link January 29-February 26, 2024. Selected singers will be announced on March 1.

Audition Criteria:

• Good quality audio and video are required. Clear, unamplified sound. No selfie-style shots. 
• Solo a cappella, please. No accompaniment or other voices.  
• Total video should be under one1 minute 
• Ages 18+ 

Audition Video:

• Introduce yourself -  – Nname, place of residence, title of song. 
• Perform:
  > Singers- Record yourself singing 16 measures (or up to 30 seconds) of a song of your choice, a cappella. There should be no backing music or accompaniment, just your solo voice! 
  > Vocal Percussionists- Record percussion examples of a rock style and ballad style, up to 30-seconds total.

Schedule / Time Commitment

Rehearsals:

• Sunday, March 9, early evening 
• Sunday, March 16, early evening 
• Sunday, March 30, early evening 
• Thursday, April 3, evening (on-stage rehearsal) 
• Saturday, April 5 – Sound cCheck at Walton Arts Center, time TBD 

Performance:

• Saturday, April 5, 7:30pm performance during the judge deliberation at the VoiceJam Competition at Walton Arts Center.

• What vocal part are you looking for? We are looking for all voices! 

• Can I audition for singer and vocal percussionist? YES. If you are auditioning for both, your video may exceed 1 minute.
