Walton Arts Center will hold auditions for the children’s Party Scene Cast in Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker Sunday, Oct. 2 from 1 pm to 6 pm at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art’s Great Hall located at 600 Museum Way in Bentonville.

The captivating Royal Winnipeg Ballet makes its debut during the Walton Arts Center’s 25th Anniversary season. Performances are Fri. Nov. 25 at 7 pm, Sat., Nov. 26 at 2 pm & 7 pm and Sun. Nov. 27 at 2 pm in Walton Arts Center’s Baum Walker Hall. Tickets range from $20 to $50 and can be purchased by calling our Box Office at 479.443.5600 or by visiting waltonartscenter.org.

Sunday, Oct. 2, 1pm – 6pm

1pm to 2:15pm: Registration of all students auditioning
2:30pm to 3:45pm: Audition class for children 7 to 8 years old
4pm to 5:45pm: Audition class for children 9 years and older

Girls and boys must be ages seven to 15 years old and be between 3’8” and 5’3” in height. Children must be present when handing in audition registration forms to verify height requirement. A current photograph will be required to register for the audition. Audition attire for girls is any solid color bodysuit, tights, ballet slippers, hair in a neat bun and no jewelry. Audition attire for boys is a white shirt/bodysuit, black shorts or tights, ballet slippers and neat hair. Children will have the opportunity of a lifetime, to perform on the Walton Arts Center stage accompanied by Canada’s finest dancers with all the beautiful scenery and costumes you’ve come to expect in the stunning presentation of Tchaikovsky’s classic Christmas ballet. Relive Clara’s Christmas fantasy with familiar, endearing scenes and a few unique twists. Watch with delight as toys come to life, the Sugar Plum Fairy spreads her magic and the valiant Nutcracker helps Clara defeat the evil Mouse King. A holiday classic for the whole family to enjoy.
