How to Apply & Audition
Specific Artosphere Festival Orchestra openings and auditions will be announced December 1, 2023.
All musicians wishing to participate in 2024 Artosphere must either register (for returning musicians) or Audition here: 2024 AFO Registration & Application
All applicants must be at least 18 years of age and eligible to work in the United States. If you have any questions, please feel free to email jsmith@waltonartscenter.org.
New Applicants: You will be asked to provide the 5 items below. There is no application fee.
Video Audition #1 - Solo performance work. This video must include an excerpt from a standard concerto or sonata. All videos must show actual video of musician playing. Excerpt length should be from 5 to 10 minutes. Video format must be either mpg, mp4, or mov. Please title the your video: first name initial_last name_composer last name_work title. Example: J_Smith_Schubert_Das_Wandern.mp4
Video Audition #2 - This video includes ALL excerpts from the appropriate excerpt list for your instrument below in the order provided, in one video file (mpeg, mp4, mov). All videos must show actual video of musician playing. It may be edited together. Please title your video: first name initial_last name_instrument_excerpts. Example: J_Smith_violin_excerpts.mp4

After the Artosphere Festival Orchestra panel reviews the audition videos, applicants may be asked to participate in a live audition time and location to be determined individually.
