Vote YES YES YES for Fayetteville Walton Arts Center is the economic engine of Dickson Street, attracting over 200,000 people every year.  However, our 22 year old facility needs significant upgrades and more space to meet the growing demand for arts and entertainment in our community.

Over the next couple of years, we have plans to renovate and add nearly 30,000 square feet of space to the Walton Arts Center campus, once again, transforming Dickson Street. The end goal is to create a full-fledged, active two theater complex (Baum Walker Hall – 1200 seats/Starr Theater 250 seats) capable of hosting diverse programming, and to add new open lobby spaces that will not only support performances but will become an anchor for destination special events on Dickson Street.

Fayetteville residents have the opportunity to help fund this exciting project, without raising taxes.  On November 12, Fayetteville residents will vote on whether to issue bonds against the existing HMR (hotel, motel, restaurant) tax to help fund Walton Arts Center renovations and a regional park. Approval will NOT increase taxes and denial will NOT lower taxes.  Below is a concept rendering of the campus with details about the plans and impact.

The November 12 election is critical for the future of Walton Arts Center and the development of Fayetteville. If you’re a Fayetteville resident, we need your support!
