Willie Nelson is an iconic singer-songwriter who has had an unparalleled six-decade-long career. Nelson rose to prominence at the end of the 1960s and spearheaded the "outlaw country" subgenre, which challenged the conservatism of Nashville. During his extensive career, Nelson has written more than 2,500 songs and has released nearly 300 albums. He has won multiple awards, including countless Grammy Awards®, American Music Awards® and Country Music Awards®. Nelson is recognized worldwide as an American troubadour and icon who continues to transcend musical genres and remains relevant through his music and social activism.

In addition to Nelson, bluegrass and country singer/songwriter Alison Krauss and her band, Union Station, will perform. Krauss boasts a career that spans 25 years (although she’s only 39 years old), as well as 26 Grammy Awards, making her the most honored solo female artist in the history of the ceremony. Featured in the Union Station band will be Jerry Douglas, a world-renowned Dobro player and recipient of 12 Grammy Awards and three Country Music Awards. Additionally, singer, songwriter and guitarist Jason Isbell will perform. Isbell is a former member of Southern rock outfit the Drive-By Truckers, but has pursued a solo career since 2007.
