ABOUT:
Los Veleros is a Latin jazz ensemble assembled by guitarist William Reyes. A classically trained guitarist who is equally comfortable with jazz, Bossa Nova, Latin, pop and experimental music, Reyes taught himself to play Spanish guitar at a young age and has composed, arranged, recorded and performed extensively. His precision, harmonic clarity and soulful interpretations shine through. Reyes performs locally in Northwest Arkansas as a solo classical guitarist and is also involved with several other musical groups. Reyes collaborated with saxophonist Alisha Pattillo and percussionist Fernando Valencia to create the Latin jazz band, Los Veleros.
