Development Coordinator, Grants and Corporate Relations

Job Summary

As part of the Grants and Corporate Relations teams in Walton Arts Center’s Development department, provide administrative and project support to increase organizational contributed revenue. Assist with stewardship and cultivation of donors at special events, including auction management. Coordinate interdepartmental processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred. Professional experience in the areas of fundraising, communication, customer service or other related field preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Preferred experience with relationship management software.

Responsibilities

Grants – 60%

  • Research funding prospects with direction from the Director of Grants
  • Assist with grant applications, including:
    • Writing, proofreading and editing of grants and reports;
    • Preparing budgets with the help of Finance;
    • Understand funded programs: attend WAC events and participate in related committees and meetings as appropriate.
    • Collect and summarize information, feedback and statistics for grant reports
    • Responsible for funder stewardship, crediting/acknowledging funders, communicating grant requirements to departments responsible for execution, follow up with departments to collect evidence of grant success for grantor
    • Serve on WAC committees as necessary
    • Build relationships with current and prospective funders, including attendance at WAC/AMP performances, special events, and the WAC Friends lounge
    • Maintain information in Tessitura including mailings, solicitations, correspondence, history of giving etc. for foundations/grantors as well as create and pull Tessitura reports as needed
    • Manage the weekly development report for Grants

 

Corporate Relations at the Walton Arts Center – 40%

  • Manage corporate relations through sponsor benefits administration for Walton Arts Center, including credentials, sponsor signage, and other contractual sponsor benefits
  • Assist with annual corporate sponsorship program including budget development, goal-setting, contract and benefits administration and annual plan development
  • Work with Director of Corporate Relations and Corporate Relations Manager to create and implement annual plan to research, retain and grow corporate sponsorship for Walton Arts Center
  • Maintain a solid understanding and knowledge of Walton Arts Center audiences and programming for use in corporate presentations and meetings
  • Process sponsorship agreements for Walton Arts Center and coordinate the implementation of terms with other departments and sponsors as appropriate (including website updates, OnStage and Guidebook logo and ad inclusion, signage, ticketing benefits, meet & greets and other terms per sponsorship agreements)
  • Manage in-kind sponsorship program including coordination with internal departments (Front of House, Concessions etc.) and external communications with sponsors to ensure terms of sponsorship are fulfilled regarding utilization and distribution of in-kind donations
  • Maintain corporate constituent information in Tessitura including plans, steps, and contact information
  • Assist with special events including sponsor solicitation, internal communications and coordination, sponsorship agreement fulfillment, and table sales
  • Lead Development team’s planning and execution of special event auctions, including item selection and procurement, event set-up and settlement, bid sheets, display sheets and receipts
